Therapy that works with you

Work at your own pace in a safe and supportive environment, exploring challenges and building lasting, meaningful change

Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect and begin to understand yourself more deeply.

I am passionate about supporting a person to disentangle patterns that are no longer supportive or helpful. Life's challenges may not have a specific diagnosis, but the emotional upset they are causing can be considerable. This may show itself in relationship difficulties or a feeling of inertia.

I work collaboratively with you, respecting the uniqueness of your experiences. We will spend time looking at your history to put your current issues in context. We will look at early family relationships, and how this may be impacting your adult relationships and view of self.

It can feel intimidating making the decision to start therapy, so please know that I maintain a warm and friendly approach always.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • A calm, safe and welcoming environment

  • A collaborative and supportive approach

  • Exploration of past experiences and current challenges

  • Focus on building strengths and resilience

  • Space to move towards greater self-understanding

We will look at your personal history and relationships, helping to place current difficulties into context. This can support a greater sense of control and clarity.

AREAS I SUPPORT

  • Trauma and emotional distress

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Neurodiversity

  • Physical health and mind-body challenges

  • Feeling stuck or disconnected

My psychotherapy approaches are Cognitive Analytic Therapy, which I find to be a perfect balance in looking at how our histories can impact our current relationships and the way in which we see ourselves in the world. And I am qualified in EMDR for focused work on helping traumatic experiences where the memoires are an ongoing trigger or causing distress.
